we are from louisiana and we have been trying to make our new home here a home and trying to get our life back in order still, i ran across your post on craigslist when i was looking to get a sofa sleeper for my house for when my mom comes up to visit me and my daughters for christmas. i keep trying to get my mom and brother to move up here to be closer to us, but they still want to be down there. after what we went through i promised my daughters that we would never go back and have to deal with that ever again and that is a promise i intend to keep to them. they like it here cause they have new friends and they like the school that they are in, and above all they like the snow and the winters here in wisconsin. we lost everything down there and my daughters don't want to ever go through that ever again and i don't blame them one bit. to watch your home get destroyed and to lose everything that you have worked so hard for gone in a split second like that is the most devastating thing in the world and knowing you have no home to go back home to is a nightmare and there are times that my daughters still have nightmares about it. there are some of us that decided not to go back and have to face the aftermath and having to go through that all over again, that we decided to make a new life up here instead of returning and going back down there and having to deal with hurricanes ever again. i will be more then happy to pass on the links that was in your email to me. it is angels like you that help keep us going when times get tough like this and we try to make things better here for us. we will never forget august 29, 2005 for as long as we live. please keep up the good work with what you are doing. like i said you are a true angel to a lot of us that are still here trying to make this our new home.
